About Rhonda Priestley

Rhonda Priestley’s work is strongly influenced by her yearly travels to Italy where she is inspired by the culture and also the extraordinary quality of the light. Her mixed-media pieces combine non-silver photo prints, solvent transfers, gel medium image layers and various paint techniques. In her new series, she captures the ancient textures and remarkable beauty of the neoclassical era in Italy with acrylic on solvent transfers and giclée prints.

Her textile designs are based upon her original paintings and designs. They are printed on 100% silk de chine, using eco-friendly, water-based pigment inks, and are designed and fabricated in simple silhouettes.

Rhonda earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Southern California School of Architecture and Fine Arts. Her work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and can be found in private collections around the globe. She has also received many awards of excellence for her professional work in the field of graphic design.
